Porto, Portugal

This location might confuse you at first, but trust us, any Potter fan will love this. JK Rowling lived in Portugal while she wrote the first Harry potter delivered. She said of her time there: “During those first few weeks in Portugal I wrote what has become my favorite chapter of the Philosopher’s Stone, ‘The Mirror of Erised’ – and I had hoped that on my return from Portugal I would have a finished book under my arm. In fact, I had something even better: my daughter, Jessica.

Rowling is believed to have visited the Livraria Lello bookstore often, which is beautiful in itself but also looks like a lot of descriptions of Hogwarts in the books, especially those spiral staircases!
