Inside because you don’t have to rely on the weather
If you are the type of person who loves to run, you will know that there is nothing worse than putting on your running shoes and opening your door to a face full of wind and rain. The same can be said when you are hit by a wall of damp heat. The weather can dramatically affect where, when and how you train – which means it’s a lot easier to train indoors. Training in difficult conditions can also make you more vulnerable to injury. After all, the last thing you want to do is go sliding down a muddy path!
Inside because of the motivation
Taking a trip to the gym and running on the treadmill or working out in the weight section will also give you more motivation. With others around you, you’ll want to push yourself even further to beat your goals and other gym goers. If you wish, you can also take the opportunity to train indoors to make yourself a new training companion. Studies have shown that training with another person increases your motivation and allows you to train more often and for longer. What could be better than that?
Outside because you look fresh
While training indoors can be beneficial, training outdoors also has its benefits. Working outdoors gives you the opportunity to play other sports that you might not be able to play in a gym or inside your home. It also gives you the option of getting fresh air into your lungs. Not only will this increase your energy level, but working out outdoors will also give you the opportunity to boost your body with a wealth of vitamin D.
Outside because you will feel revitalized
Getting out in the open and getting your blood pumping is one of the best ways to feel revitalized after a workout. While you may feel exhausted during your workout, you will come home with a whole new spring in your step as you feel more awake and energized. Working outside also gives you the flexibility to get out of the house, which keeps you away from stuffy and stressful rooms in your home. You will be able to run freely like a gazelle and enjoy the wild outdoors!
So which is the best? Well, it seems there is no real answer to that. There are benefits to training indoors and outdoors, so it really depends on your personal preferences. However, if you want our advice, if you can go out in good weather, go for it!
